1. Who we are
This Privacy Policy describes how Makerivo (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use our software and services (the “Service”), including our website, dashboard, APIs, integrations, and related features such as messaging automation, booking and restaurant tools, and optional AI-assisted responses.

2. Scope
This policy applies to visitors of our public pages, registered business users (“Customers”), and—where applicable—end users who interact with our Customers through connected channels (for example WhatsApp or other messaging surfaces). If you are an end user of a business that uses our Service, that business is typically the “controller” of your data for channel conversations; we process such data on their behalf as a “processor” or service provider, as described in our agreements and this policy.
3. Information we collect
- Account and profile: name, email address, password or authentication identifiers, company name, language preferences, and similar profile fields you provide.
- Service usage and technical data: IP address, device/browser type, approximate location derived from IP, timestamps, pages viewed, diagnostic logs, and security-related events.
- Connected channels and integrations: when you connect third-party services (including Meta/Facebook products such as WhatsApp Business or Pages, and Google services such as OAuth sign-in or Google Business Profile), we receive tokens, identifiers, and content necessary to operate those integrations, strictly within the permissions you grant.
- Messages and operational content: message content, attachments metadata, phone numbers or channel identifiers, booking or reservation details, menu or catalog data, calendar events, and other content submitted through or stored in the Service to provide features you enable.
- AI features (if enabled): prompts and context you or your workflows send to AI providers to generate responses; we may retain logs as needed for quality, safety, abuse prevention, and support, according to your settings and our subprocessors.
- Payments: payments may be processed by third-party payment providers; we generally receive limited billing metadata (for example subscription status or transaction references), not full card numbers.
- Cookies and similar technologies: session cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in and remember preferences.
4. How we use information
We use information to provide, secure, and improve the Service; authenticate users; connect and maintain integrations you authorize; deliver messaging, booking, and automation features; provide customer support; detect fraud, spam, and abuse; comply with law; enforce our terms; and communicate service-related notices.
Where required by applicable law, we rely on appropriate legal bases such as performance of a contract, legitimate interests (balanced with your rights), or consent.
5. Sharing and subprocessors
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with:
- Infrastructure and hosting providers that store or transmit data.
- Meta Platforms when you use Meta-related features, subject to Meta’s terms and policies applicable to developers and to your connection settings.
- Google when you use Google sign-in, Google APIs, or Google Business Profile features, subject to Google’s applicable policies including the Google API Services User Data Policy where relevant.
- AI providers (for example large language model APIs) when you enable AI features.
- Payment processors for billing.
- Professional advisers (lawyers, auditors) where necessary.
- Authorities when required by law or to protect rights and safety.
We use reasonable contractual and technical safeguards with subprocessors who process personal data on our behalf.
6. International transfers
Your information may be processed in countries other than your own. Where applicable law requires safeguards for international transfers, we implement appropriate mechanisms (such as standard contractual clauses) in line with regulatory guidance.
7. Retention
We retain information for as long as necessary to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Retention periods may differ by data category; for example, security logs may be kept for a limited period, while billing records may be retained longer where law requires.
8. Security
We implement administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal data against unauthorized access, loss, or alteration. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; we encourage strong passwords and careful management of integration permissions.
9. Your rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to certain processing, and to data portability. You may also withdraw consent where processing is consent-based. To exercise rights, contact us at the email above. We may need to verify your identity before responding.
10. Children
The Service is not directed to children under 16 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
11. Third-party services
Our Service may link to or embed third-party sites or services. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies. Meta’s and Google’s use of information is also subject to their respective policies and your account settings with those companies.
12. Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and adjust the “Last updated” date. Where changes are material and required by law, we will provide additional notice.
13. Regional notices
EEA/UK/Switzerland: You may lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
California (if applicable): California residents may have additional rights under the CCPA/CPRA, including the right to know, delete, and opt out of certain “sharing” for cross-context behavioral advertising, where those concepts apply.
